Beef Ragu Recipe
A hearty and flavorful beef ragu, perfect for a cozy dinner.

Main Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb beef chuck cut into chunks
- 1 onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- to taste salt and pepper
- 1 lb pasta cooked according to package instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add the beef chunks and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Pour in the red wine and let it reduce by half.
Add the crushed tomatoes, beef broth, oregano, basil, and the browned beef. Stir to combine.
Bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it cook for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the ragu over cooked pasta.
