Ingredients 

Filling

  • 1 lb Beef Stew Meat cut into cubes
  • 1 cup Carrots diced
  • 1 cup Peas
  • 1 cup Potatoes diced
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Crust

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Butter cold and cubed
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Cold Water as needed

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook beef until browned. Add carrots, peas, and potatoes. Cook until vegetables are tender.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Gradually add beef broth. Cook until thickened. Set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt for the crust. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add cold water, a tablespoon at a time, until dough forms.
  5. Roll out half of the dough and fit into a pie dish. Add beef mixture. Roll out remaining dough and place over filling. Seal edges and cut slits in top crust.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
