Baked Ziti with Sausage
A hearty and comforting baked ziti with sausage, perfect for family dinners.

Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage casings removed
- 1 lb ziti pasta
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- to taste salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook ziti pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, sausage, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Transfer mixture to a baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
