Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs large
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg ground

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Heat the milk in a saucepan until just warm, then slowly whisk it into the egg mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle the nutmeg on top.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the custard is set and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool before serving.
