Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 whole Chicken cut into pieces
  • 2 cups Rice
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 1 large Bell pepper chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 3 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup Frozen peas

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add a bit of oil.
  2. 2. Brown the chicken pieces on all sides, then remove and set aside.
  3. 3. In the same pot, sauté the onion, bell pepper, and garlic until softened.
  4. 4. Add the rice and stir to coat with the vegetable mixture.
  5. 5. Pour in the tomato sauce and chicken broth, then return the chicken to the pot.
  6. 6. Season with salt and black pepper, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.
  7. 7. Simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the chicken is tender.
  8. 8. Stir in the frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. 9. Serve hot and enjoy!
