  • 1 cup applesauce unsweetened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. Add the applesauce, vegetable oil, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
