Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 6 Apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ¼ cup Raisins
  • ¼ cup Chopped Walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 6 sheets Phyllo Dough
  • ¼ cup Melted Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Powdered Sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the apples, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, raisins, chopped walnuts, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  3. Lay out one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush with melted butter. Repeat with remaining sheets, stacking them on top of each other.
  4. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the phyllo dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  5. Carefully roll up the dough, starting from one of the shorter sides, to form a log. Place the log seam-side down on a baking sheet.
  6. Brush the top with more melted butter.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
