Ingredients 

Pie Crust

  • 2 sheets Refrigerated pie crusts

Filling

  • 8 cups Apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out one pie crust to fit a baking sheet. Place it on the sheet.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  4. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the pie crust on the baking sheet. Dot with butter pieces.
  5. Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the apples. Seal the edges and cut slits in the top crust.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Let cool before serving.
