Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 6 Apples, peeled, cored, and sliced Use a mix of sweet and tart apples
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 tablespoon Cornstarch Mixed with 2 tablespoon water

Instructions 

  1. In a large saucepan, combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender, about 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in butter until melted.
  4. Add cornstarch mixture and cook until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool before using as pie filling.
