Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups peeled, chopped apples

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add the softened butter, eggs, and sour cream to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped apples.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan before serving.
