Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the flour, baking soda, and cinnamon to the butter mixture and mix well.
  4. Stir in the chopped apples and vanilla extract. Add nuts if using.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into a greased baking pan.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool before cutting into bars. Enjoy!
