Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mix until combined.
  5. Toss apple slices with lemon juice and cinnamon.
  6. Spread half the batter in a greased 9-inch springform pan. Layer apples on top. Spread remaining batter over apples.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before serving.
