Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rolled oats
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Desiccated coconut
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Butter Melted
  • 1 tablespoon Golden syrup
  • 2 tablespoon Boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease baking trays or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine oats, flour, coconut, and sugar.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt butter and golden syrup over low heat.
  4. Mix baking soda with boiling water and add to melted butter mixture. Stir to combine.
  5. Pour butter mixture into dry ingredients and mix well.
  6. Roll tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls and place on prepared trays, flattening slightly with a fork.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on trays for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
