all-purpose flour

sugar

salt

shortening

milk

peaches, peeled and halved

cup
sugar

cup
water
¼

butter

teaspoon
cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk just until moistened.
Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to about ⅛ inch thickness. Cut into 6 squares.
Place a peach half in the center of each square. Fold corners to center over peach and pinch edges to seal.
Place dumplings in a baking dish.
In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, butter, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil, then pour over dumplings.
Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
