American Flag Cake Recipe
This patriotic cake is perfect for the 4th of July or any American-themed celebration. It's a simple vanilla cake decorated with fresh berries to resemble the American flag.

Cake Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1.5 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter softened
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
Decoration Ingredients
- 1 cup blueberries
- 2 cups strawberries sliced
- 2 cups whipped cream
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Beat well.
Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
Once the cake is cool, spread the whipped cream over the top. Arrange the blueberries in the top left corner to represent the stars. Use the strawberry slices to create the red stripes of the flag.
