  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup amaretto liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and amaretto.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; stir into the batter alternately with the sour cream.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
